Date: March 16 & 17
For couples getting married from April to July 2012.
People are trained to drive cars, perform certain jobs, use a firearm and much more, but the need to be taught how to be a husband or wife gets overlooked and couples have to struggle through many different issues in their lives in their pursuit of happiness. This could all be easier if we were just trained to be married!
What to Expect
Before any young man takes a bride from the protective custody of her father's home, he had better be ready to assume leadership with all its responsibilities. This makes him accountable to God. The sad thing is that young men are never trained to be husbands, providers, lovers and eventually fathers. They are trained, if at all, to be rough and have no tears, but a godly husband learns from the Word of God. Similarly, a godly wife learns to trust in God rather than her husband, so that the husband is free to learn how to be the father of his generation.
One thing a woman has to learn is that it is more fun to play with your family than to have a house that is always tidy. She must be a fun person! She must remember that her husband needs a warm welcome from a joyful wife when he comes home. It must be an enthusiastic greeting that says, “Hi, it’s great to see you!” She must please not meet him with a horde of complaints. She must be the reason why he rushes home.
