Losing a loved one hurts deeply. If you’ve lost someone you care about, or suffered another loss, we’d like to invite you to join us at Grief Share. Please don’t go through the grieving process alone. We are a caring, friendly group of people who have first-hand experience of grieving the loss of a friend or family member. It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now and you may feel confused and isolated. We’re here to help you through this difficult time.
Each Grief Share session has three distinct elements:
Each week your GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, dramatic reenactments and on-location video.
After viewing the video, group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in the week’s video seminar and what is going on in each member’s life.
During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help process your emotions through journaling. Your group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study.
GriefShare groups meet on a Thursday night. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend sessions in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin and will be able to continue with GriefShare through the next 13-week cycle where you can view any of the videos you have not yet seen.
