A talent that needs no introduction, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, commonly known as Lady Nam has stolen the hearts of South Africans. Lady Nam is a well-known actress, MC, radio & TV presenter as well as a philanthropist.
Recently known for her role as Lulu in eTV’s prime-time telenovela, Broken Vows, Nambitha has been seen on our screens from the Netflix TV remake of Black Mirror to a role in the international BET production Madiba. She has risen to become a recognized actress as well as a radio- and TV presenter and MC. After having spent 6 months in New York City, while working her way through the media & TV industry, Nambitha returned to South Africa to tackle the film industry. This landed her roles in productions, including the Mzansi Magic’s crime drama series Doubt, for which she landed a coveted YOU Spectacular favourite actress nomination. Her love for the arts and talent have afforded her prominent roles while she builds a lasting legacy and uses the platform she has been given to make a significant difference in women’s lives.
One of Nambitha’s passions is helping women and especially young girls find their voice, and having a ‘sister’ to talk to. With the rise of depression in our society, just being an ear and sharing one’s experiences with other people has a positive impact on their lives, which lead to the inspiration of her #SheSpeaks initiative.
#SheSpeaks is a platform aimed at women finding their own voices in all aspects of their lives while encouraging self-love; self-purpose and self-awareness. Alongside relevant brands and guests speakers, they provide young females with the tools to succeed in their career paths, while remaining confident with their appearance and self-esteem
