Why the colour amber...?

In the Old Testament this colour is found on one occasion in the book of Ezekiel. The Hebrew word “chasmal” is used three times in Ezekiel and means a shining substance or amber. The colour amber is used with Ezekiel’s vision of the glory and majesty of God. The colour speaks of the Brightness of His Presence.

Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the colour of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around (Ezekiel 1:27 NKJ). See also Ezekiel 1:4, 28; 8:2
